Experiencing the nearness of Christ changes everything
Immanuel Care
Immanuel Care offers restorative pastoral care and week-long intensives for couples in ministry who need healing, renewal, and time to tend their marriage.
Who We Serve
If you have given your life to serving others, you know the particular kind of tired that comes with it. It is not just physical exhaustion. It is the slow wearing down that happens when you consistently pour out more than you take in, and when the marriage that is supposed to be your closest partnership begins to feel like just one more place where you are needed.
Immanuel Care exists for couples who carry that weight.
We serve people in all kinds of ministry contexts. Some are in vocational ministry or church leadership. Others are missionaries, educators, business leaders, or community workers who see their daily lives as a form of kingdom service. What they share is not a job title but a sense of calling and a marriage shaped, and sometimes strained, by the cost of living it out.
We also welcome couples who have had to step back from active service because their marriage needs care. Sometimes the most faithful thing you can do is tend your own relationship so you can return to serving from a healthier place.
If this sounds like where you are, we would be glad to hear from you.
What We Offer
Pastoral Counseling & Care
We provide confidential one-on-one and couples pastoral counseling and care specifically designed for believers who have a relationship with Jesus. Our care addresses the unique challenges that people of faith face, including burnout, relational difficulties, grief, spiritual exhaustion, and moral injury.
Our immersive retreat experiences offer focused time away for deep healing work, combining pastoral counseling sessions with rest, reflection, and spiritual renewal in a peaceful environment.
Ministry doesn’t stop, and neither does our care. We offer continued pastoral support to help leaders maintain health and integrate healing into their everyday lives.
About Us
For more than four decades, Rich and Sandy Malone have lived inside the rhythms of ministry life. They have known the deep joy of serving alongside God’s people, and they have also seen firsthand the quiet cost it can carry for a marriage and a soul.
After years in pastoral student ministry and nearly three decades leading Lake Forest Ranch, a Christian camp ministry, they sensed God inviting them into something new: a focused, unhurried space where exhausted and wounded followers of Jesus could come and find real care.
That invitation became Immanuel Care.
Rich and Sandy’s work together is not theoretical. It is rooted in decades of shared ministry, a strong marriage, personal healing, and the kind of faith that has been tested and held. They know what it is to walk through hard seasons and to find, in the middle of them, that God is genuinely present and genuinely good. That is not a message they have borrowed. It is one they have lived.
Their deepest conviction is that the people who give their lives to serving others deserve to be cared for with the same tenderness and faithfulness they extend to everyone else.
